Description: This is yet another fabulous & desirable May 1959 Fender Stratocaster, 1 of the few made in the 1st month of Slab Rosewood Neck production, in nearly untouched original condition. It has a really neat 2 -Tone ‘burst refinish over a very lightweight Alder Hardtail body. Its killer Slab Rosewood fingerboard sits on top of a nice maple neck having no pencil date which is as usual. What makes this Strat so cool is its got a factory “8” screw clean Nitro Green’gard that was only done on the very 1st ones from May 1959 prior to changing it up for 11 screws by June to keep them from warping. Loaded w/its original set of 3 black bottom pickups & have original pots dating perfectly in time from the 20th week of 1959. Its neck has its original spaghetti Logo now w/some clear overspray over it. It’s still sporting its original single line Kluson Deluxe tuners. 1st year Slab Neck Fenders are as hot as anything in the vintage Strat world & so few were made May 1959. This is a no excuse example for the pickiest player/collector at a fair market price. It’s excellent overall & comes in an original Brown Tolex hard case.
