Description: 1960 Paris France La Seine et Notre Dame Travel Poster Vintage Original Date: 1960 Artist: Unknown Size (in): 39” x 24.5” Size (cm): 99 x 62.2 Condition: B Linen backed: No This vintage original poster was issued by the French governmental tourism authority in 1960 to promote Paris as a travel destination. The poster features the view of a sightseeing boat on the Seine approaching Notre Dame cathedral with the title – PARIS La Seine et Notre-Dame. The lower margin is printed “ED. 60-5” which we take to indicate a 1960 publication date. The lower margin also indicates the maker of the poster – Braun Imp., Mulhouse. This vintage original poster shows slight toning from age and moderate handling wear including some bumping to the edges in spots. The tips of both upper corners show small areas of contact surface paper loss were it looks like small pieces of tape were pulled off at one time. This defect could be easily corrected with simple linen backing and the poster is otherwise in very good condition overall.
