Description: Offered for purchase is a vintage double neck pottery vase from Pigeon Forge Pottery in Tennessee. It features the popular 'volcanic' glaze in brown. The Pigeon Forge Pottery Crater Glazes have become one of the favorite, most sought after glazes made by the pottery. Often commonly referred to as "Volcanic" or "Lava" glaze, the Crater glaze was developed and made in several colors. The vase is signed on the base (photo 6). Approx. dimensions: 5.75 inches tall (from base to tallest vase neck); 6.5 inches in length; 3.5 inches wide. Condition: Overall, very good. The base has some light scuff marks consistent with age and use. There is a tiny flea-bite chip on the inner surface of one of the vase openings (photo 7). The inside of the vase was quite dusty, I washed it gently with warm soapy water; but I will leave any additional cleaning to the new owner. Also note that the light brown staining around the base of the vase (e.g. photo 8) is probably due to the glazing process.
