This black and white photo measures approximately 10" x 7 1/4" and depicts Syracuse University star halfback Ernie Davis with other members of the backfield which include team captain Dick Easterly, fullback Gary Fallon, and halfback Bill Meyers as they arrive in Philadelphia for the 1961 Liberty Bowl game. Sadly, Ernie Davis would die of Leukemia in May of 1963. One of the cool things about this photo, other than the subject matter, is that the back bears the Cleveland Plain Dealer archival notes and a date stamp of 1/17/62.
