On the back, as well as the foot rim, there is a light 26mm diameter ring in the centre. The rim scalloping is clearly defined when viewed from the back.Style 2. The later shape. No ring in the centre on the back. Rim scalloping barely observable when viewed from the back. If you are looking to add to your setting please check which plate shape you have. I have both shapes listed. Royal Albert Old Country Roses bone china entrée plate with the 1962 to 1973 backstamp. This is a Style 1 plate. Plates in this earlier style are hard to find.Made in England. Old Country Roses was first introduced in 1962 and pieces were produced in the Montrose shape. Approximate diameter is 20.8 cm. Condition. Please read carefully.There is wear to the gold on the rims of the plates which varies from very little wear to heavy wear as shown on the plate in the photograph. The other plate has less wear. There are some light knife scratches to the glaze. Otherwise there are no chips, cracks or crazing. I have also listed some Style 2 entrée plates.
