Graham Sutherland's tapestry, "Christ in Majesty," hangs for the first time behind the altar of the nearly-completed new Anglican Cathedral of Coventry, Warwickshire, England, today. Tapestry measures 70 feet by 39 feet. It depicts Christ surmounted by a star and surrounded by figures representing a lion, bull, eagle and an angel-symbolizing the four evangelists. Tapestry is said to be largest single piece ever made. It took 14 persons 2 1/2 years to complete.Photo measures 8 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 04-03-1962.
