This map opens to 23¼" x 35" and has good detail on old street and highway alignments, including U.S. Route 66. The coverage area extends from the Santa Susana Mountains to Sunset Beach, including Anaheim, San Fernando, Santa Monica, Burbank, Pasadena, Long Beach, Lakewood, Whittier, Norwalk, Glendale, Inglewood, Arcadia, Compton, Redondo Beach, Hollywood, Bellflower, Beverly Hills, Fullerton, Orange, and Glendora. Topography is drawn in relief, and among the named places and features are the Rainbow Pier, Bel-Air Country Club, Dodger Stadium, Garfield Hospital, Whittier College, the Pacific Electric Railway, and Baldwin Park. On the reverse side there is a map of the Los Angeles Freeway System showing completed freeways as well as those under construction, along with a list of highway number changes. The map was published in 1963 by the Automobile Club of Southern California. It is identified as Map Number 1235, and it is dated by the code numbers in the legend (C5361) and on the cover (C1363).
