Description: Unusual volume. Carefully made, it boasts a deep gray-blue bouclé cover emblazoned with gilt script title and date, both in super period fonts. There is a braided tie along the side , reminiscent of the tassels on a graduation cap. Inside, many pages are protected with tissue or vellum, which is, remarkably, completely whole and unblemished. Curiously, the title is in English, but all other text is in Japanese characters , and every student and faculty member appears to be Asian. There is some minor damage to the front cover, as shown, possibly from moths. I kept this book in a closed ziploc for weeks so there is no possibility of infestation now. Other than the few damaged spots, the book is in excellent vintage condition with no markings whatsoever. It is a rare and meaningful piece, and I hope it finds its way to an owner who will cherish it. There were two Japanese dictionaries also from this estate - one large, boxed Japanese/English and one small, portable leather-bound Japanese/Spanish. Both are listed and I am happy to combine shipping. 1964 “College Life” Yearbook AMERICAN JAPANESE.
