View of tropical storm Tillie as seen at 12;04 p.m., pdt, today near Baja California by the Nimbus satellite on its 168th orbit and from a height of 435 miles. The lower California peninsula extends from upper a height of 435 miles. The lower California peninsula extends from upper center to right center with a portion of the main part of Mexico at extreme upper right. The storm, centered over the Pacific, is moving in a northwesterly direction at 10 miles per hour, and is expected to turn due north within 24 hours. Highest winds are presently estimated at 57 mph, with rough to very rough seas in the vicinity. This picture was received at the Weather Bureau Station at San Francisco Airport.
