Description: This week I'm offering a number of old baseball cards for sale. During the Sixties, Topps included premiums as "extras" in their packs of cards, usually a sticker, stamp, coin or some other novelty featuring ballplayers. In 1965, Topps offered a very nice extra set, a 72-card set consisting of embossed foil portraits of All-Stars. This Topps embossed set is quite striking. The cards are slightly narrower than the regular issue, and make a colorful addition to the 1965 set. Here I have a very nice example of the 1965 embossed set, #69 Hall of Famer Bob Gibson of the St. Louis Cardinals. See scans for condition. Not bad for a card that's over fifty years old!
