Description: This listing is for a Lost in Space CHARIOT & TRACK SET made by Mattel in 1966. The set includes the chariot, removable chassis, torpedo, track, connectors, air pump, and a copy of the cyclops standee. The chariot measures approximately 8 inches long and is made of plastic with chrome ladders, fenders, and headlight assembly. It is has a battery powered motor in the chassis and a spring operated torpedo mechanism on top. The toy is in excellent condition overall with just a bit of wear to the high points. Still works great. It operates using one "D" battery with an ON/OFF switch located behind the seats. There is plenty of tube track and black connectors, along with the special directional connectors that are controlled by the air pump. The flexible tube track allows you to create unlimited layouts (more fun and easier to use than the molded plastic track of that era). The cyclops standee is a 1:1 copy of an original.
