COE experiences at Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department steered Steve Boudreaux to college. When Steve Boudreaux entered his senior year at East Jefferson High School, he wasn't certain if he would enter college or even business school after his graduation. Prior years of high school had failed to provide him with a definite incentive. But, that fall, he entered an all male Cooperative Office Education(COE) program, in which students attended high school in the morning and then worked about four hours each afternoon in a local business office. COE appealed to Steve immediately, since his experiences in Junior Achievement had already piqued his interest in business. As it turned out, COE was more than just interesting to Steve Boudreaux. Today Steve, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick P. Boudreaux, 312 E. Shannon, is a graduate of East Jefferson and a cadet in the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department. Those original indefinite plans for continuing his education are behind him. Steve's attending Loyola University, majoring in criminology through a special Sheriff's Department program - all a direct result of COE. Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 10-01-1967.
