Description: This 56 year-old Jerry Rubin 30"x40" poster is an original and unopened item from1968. Still wrapped in original plastic -- never opened. The poster creator spelled his name with an "E" on the poster as opposed to the correct spelling with an "I'. Not sure how that happened all those years ago when printed but maybe someone was doing their work with the help of partner, Mary Jane.The poster features the iconic anti-war counter-culture hippy activist and Yippies (Youth International Party - YIP) founder from the late 1960s. He is famous for being a member of the Chicago Eight which included Abbie Hoffman, Rennie Davis, John Froines, David Dellinger, Lee Weiner, Tom Hayden, and Bobby Seale.The b/w poster uses a portrait photograph taken by Bob Kotalik of the Chicago Sun Times.I'm listing this at a lot less than I see them going for on eBay and elsewhere. And those I've seen are out of the packaging and used. Perfect gift for the counter-culture politically minded, the 1960s memorabilia lover, Vietnam war protest historian or all of the above!I bought these over 20 years ago along with other 1960s and 1970s posters from an older gentleman who had bought out a poster shop years before he sold them to me. I have stored them since and now am putting them on eBay.
