Description: This is a fully working 1969 Olympia SM9 portable manual typewriter that comes with an original case and super rad custom made dust over. The outside of the case shows some dings and wear, zippers are good. This sm9 unit looks great. It’s been thoughtfully cared for throughout its life, used gently, and it shows. It types in red or black ink, that’s loaded into the same spool so you can swap between colors on the fly. Case and typewriter show some minor wear or scuffs, more so the case. This typewriter is incredibly smooth to type on and overall in clean and nice condition. Olympias are of course known for this anyway, being incredibly high quality machines. You’ll not find many that would argue against the sm9 being the best and near the most loved typewriter of all time. It is a dapper looking machine, a dream to type on, and the sounds it produces are just so satisfying! Please see photos for a full type-test.
