Description: I have traveled to Africa many times. What you see in this sculpture is what you will see every day in the country of Uganda. The second photo is one I took in Uganda while working there (the photo has nothing to do with this sale. I just wanted to show you what I have seen while in country). The following six photos are of the piece itself. It is in beautiful condition; In fact, it's absolutely perfect. The theme is of a young mother doing her daily tasks while breast feeding her child. I can tell you that you really do see this everywhere in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania (countries I have visited in Africa). Breast feeding is as natural as it gets, culturally. 100 years ago it was as natural as breathing in every country. The finish is a beautiful black and clay marbling. The statue is 6.5 inches tall, and very heavy. I'm certain that the statue is solid and not hollow. It is signed, "ENS 69." It is from 1969. The final photos are of my most recent trip within Uganda, and do not relate to this sale other than to show you the commonality of this sculpture and real African Life. Shipping throughout the lower 48 states only. Shipping by: USPS., or FedEx., depending upon your location. As always, I will package this sculpture with great care for shipping.
