Long Binh, South Vietnam: Captain Robert Marasco, 27, of Bloomfield, New Jersey, (shown smoking outside hut in Long Binh in photo received from Vietnam 9/26) the accused triggerman in Green Beret murder case, denied charges against him and five other officers 9/27 and predicted acquittal in court martial expected to begin in October. Marasco spoke a few hours after the Army released specifications of charges in case, alleging that Marasco shot a Vietnamese national named Thai Khao Chuyen to death with a pistol on or about 6/20/69 in Nha Trang. Defense contends that Chuyen was Green Beret espionage agent caught spying for Viet Cong, and was killed on orders from Central Intelligence Agency. Photo measures 8 x 10inches.
