1973 1977 73 77 GM A-Body Olds Cutlass Tilt Steering Column & Parts Chevelle Reg

Description: . Offered is this tilt steering column and related parts removed from a 1975 Olds Cutlass Supreme. Includes column, intermediate shaft, sector cover, and related mounting hardware. Should fit 1973 – 1977 A-body GM, but there were running changes between models so please compare this to your particular car. The sector cover is nice not broken or cracked. The intermediate shaft is complete as shown, with bolts. Please note that the lower section is kind of scaly, and should be cleaned much better, to be sure it collapses in the event of an accident. The column is nice overall, but not perfect. The tilt unit is nice and tight, with no wobble or looseness. The wiring and connectors look good. The turn signal switch detents are good, but the condition of the switch, while assumed good, is unknown. There is NO KEY for this. ALL THREE levers are crusty and will need to be replace. The plastic dust cover is cracked and will need to be replaced, and the steering wheel lock pin is pushed in to allow the wheel to turn. This is how I got it; I don't know whether it was sealed in position or just crusty from sitting for so long. Also of note, the bottom lower section of the column cover is a it scaly, as shown. The firewall mounting plate looks fine. This is a nice column to rehab/rebuild, or to use for parts if rebuilding the column original to your car. If the tilt column and related parts are missing from your ride or project, or are considering adding tilt to your car, this may be worthy of your consideration.
