Description: 1974 NASCAR Darlington Southern 500 Program, Yarborough Survives Attrition. The 88-page program is in great condition with no significant flaws. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program. The 1974 Southern 500 was held at Darlington Raceway on September 2nd before 65,000 fans. The pole was won by Richard Petty, who would lead the field of 40 to the green flag. Mechanical failures were the primary issue that contributed to Cale Yarborough's victory. Yarborough saw most of his competition fall to circumstance and went on to win by over a lap. There were only 12 cars running at the finish with Darrell Waltrip, David Sisco, Dave Marcis, and James Hylton rounding out the top five. Please review the other racing items I have listed.
