Description: 1975 Toney Penna Driver, 44", S-Flex Steel Shaft, New Royal Cord Grip, Good overall condition. This club has been refinished. As seen in the closeup photo of the face insert (last photo), countersinking of the east and west (left and right) screw holes to accommodate new screws was slightly overdone. The situation will not affect play of the cub, but a collector may wish to replace the face insert. Toney Penna was both a PGA Tour player (four tour wins) and golf club designer. He was employed by the MacGregor Company for three decades as a player representative and club designer. He formed his own golf club company in 1967. Clubs he designed were used in winning major championships by Seve Ballesteros, Gary Player, Lee Trevino and Tom Watson.
