Benson, Robby. Robby Benson and Glynnis O'Connor portray the Mississippi sweethearts in Warner Brothers' "Ode to Billy Joe," the Max Baer picture based on Bobbie Gentry's everlasting ballad. They are shown here on the Tallahatchie Bridge, scene of the strange events that were memorialized in the famous song. Miss Gentry's new version of that song will be heard on the soundtrack of the film.
