Description: This was an unusual contemporary designed clock made by Bucherer in West Germany. It was purchased in May of 1984 at the Bucherer store in Luzerne, Switzerland. It has been on a shelf since that time. The clock is still quite accurate. The chimes ring out at the hour & 1/2 hour. However there are times when the chimes don't ring. I do not know why. Clock weighs 9#-8oz. Mostly all brass weight. 8-1/2" High7" Wide5" Deep The quartz movement runs on one AA battery. The movement was mfg. in West Germany at the time. I'm under the original impression that the clock was mfg. by Bucherer. As the face says. But they are not mfg. table clocks any longer. Stopped some time ago. One of the pics shows an area where I rubbed some light polishing cream. The polished brass gloss came right up. The clock finish has never been polished. It was originally all a bright polished brass finish. Like you see on the inside. The last pic shows some tarnish spots on the inside base by the rear door. I do not know what caused this.
