Greater New Orleans Mississippi River Bridge traffic was tied up for hours Friday as seven accidents, including one involving five cars, combined to cause the worst traffic jam in recent memory, according to bridge police. Traffic stretched past Stumpf Boulevard on the West Bank Expressway and back to Woodland Drive on Gen. de Gaulle Drive. Traffic bound for the West Bank was also tied op in the major jam.
