Description: Huge fold-out 1983 map: Geothermal Resources of Hawaii. The map opens to a wall-size 35½" x 50" and was produced by the National Geophysical Data Center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the Geothermal and Hydropower Technologies Division, United States Department of Energy. The geothermal data was compiled and interpreted by the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics, University of Hawaii, Honolulu. The map is drawn on a scale of 1:500,000, and details include thermal springs and wells, thermal waters, and volcanoes — caldera, rift zones, and post-erosional volcanic vents, as well as parks, forest reserves, airports, and principal roads. Condition: The map is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with no marks, rips, or tears. It folds to 7¼" x 10" and is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. Note: We may also have a 1983 NOAA map of the geothermal resources of Wyoming available in our eBay store.
