JOE BIVOUAC & CREW Items are in very good condition, I have cleaned the parts top to bottom and inside and out. The sticker placement is pretty good. Item is in very good condition, All the pieces fit together well. Originally released in 1984 the Bivouac features a removable cot with support legs (2) - custom cast, a rack with original removable ORIGINAL axe, original machete, original shovel, portable field radio – with original antenna, rocket launcher with projectile and stand, green missile, replacement removable green canteen with intact strap - still hangs just fine. The bottom main piece and the top hood look good and fit together well with the two custom cast tent poles. Please look at the multiple pictures of every angle I have provided, in high resolution, to make your own decision on the grade of the item - good luck finding another sale where this much detail is disclosed! The Bivouac battle station is a forward observation post kit. It includes a handy tent to deflect the sun, a cot to nap when the opportunity arises, an accessory rack, light gear for use on reconnaissance missions, such as an axe, a shovel, a machete, a field radio, a 16 ounce water canteen, and in the event of trouble, a rocket launcher. This launcher, an XM-65 fiberglass rocket launcher, fires large (98mm) rocket propelled projectiles at whatever the occupant(s) of the Bivouac determine to be a threat that requires immediate, direct action. It can only fire one laser-guided rocket at a time, but presumably the crew could carry more if they were expecting serious trouble. 1990 PATHFINDER + LANARD & MOTORCYCLE VEHICLE PATHFINDER: He has decent joints, some obvious paint wear and paint rubs, New O-ring and no screw rust. Appearance: dark green hat with black brim; black hair; light green sunglasses; black short-sleeved shirt with open orange vest; black pants with orange and light green camouflage; dark and light green belt with cannon posts; black boots. Accessories: Black gun, black knife, brown Gung-Ho backpack, the figure stand pictured is included. The two 1991 IMPEL Cards #73 are near mint and great for display. Lanard Figure: He has good joints, little screw rust and a tight O-Ring. He comes with the black assault rifle and the figure stand pictured. LANARD MOTORCYCLE: Appearance: I have cleaned this mean machine well, the black and green are still vibrant, nothing has been glued or rigged. The sticker placement looks great. By growing up in the alligator-infested swamplands of southern Florida, PATHFINDER quickly learned how to find his way around in order to stay alive! With his father's help, Pathfinder mastered the ways of jungle survival. He learned how to make trails where there were none, to detect unnatural jungle sounds, and to attack unsuspecting targets swiftly and quietly. When he was eighteen, Pathfinder enlisted in the Army and began a career as a jungle recon specialist. Almost immediately, he became the Army's premiere jungle/rain forest tactical assault expert. Pathfinder was then ordered to serve as G.I. Joe's jungle assault specialist where he is now responsible for all covert operations involving attacks on Cobra Island. "We could be chest-deep in a midnight swamp, with mosquitoes in our ears, leeches in our boots, and Cobra NIGHT-VIPERS firing up our tails with tracers, but as long as Pathfinder has the point, we'll come out smelling like roses. He learned everything from his father, a decorated reconnaissance grunt from the Korean War. Like his father, he doesn't know the meaning of the word surrender. When Pathfinder leads a jungle patrol he doesn't stop until the job is successfully completed and all objectives have been accomplished. And I mean ALL objectives!" Growing up in the treacherous Florida Everglades, William had no choice but to learn how to deal with swamps and other tropical environs. He was taught how to do so by his father, a decorated recon grunt from the Korean War, who knew exactly how to deal with such terrain. Thanks to his father, William learned how to make trails where there aren't any, how to ambush unsuspecting folks in the brush, and other aspects of jungle survival - all before he enlisted in the Army! When he did that, it became apparent that he'd be a perfect jungle assault specialist. On the job, he proved just how well-versed in such techniques he was, and quickly became the Army's premier jungle operations specialist. This naturally attracted the attention of the GI Joe team, who recruited William into their ranks as soon as he could get through the entrance exam. Once he managed this, William became known as Pathfinder, and was put in charge of many Cobra Island operations the Joe team conducted. William handled them all with glee, and happily served the Joes in this capacity until they were shut down back in '94. The Cobra threat only became worse without GI Joes to check them though, and they were thus reactivated a short time later. A few years into this new incarnation of the team, the Joes convinced William to return to the fold, this time behind the wheel of one of their A.W.E. Strikers. Liking a good challenge, William couldn't resist re-upping with the Joes. He hung with the 'new' team through thick and thin, participating in the second Civil War and Cobra's single greatest bid for world domination, none other than World War III itself! Once Cobra was defeated (again), William stayed on with the Joes, since they weren't prematurely disbanded this time. No, the government thought it'd be a good idea to have the GI Joe team finish the job this time, and collect all the world's stray Cobra outlaws, not to mention hold things together while everyone rebuilds. Cobra did a lot of damage, after all...! The Greenshirts are the equivalent of "extras" in that they are in the story to serve merely as background characters and have little to no speaking parts. Due to the unique look of each G.I. Joe member, it became a problem for Sunbow animators to render the G.I. Joe Team, especially for all-out battle scenes. The solution was to create generic G.I. Joe soldiers. This also addressed a problem not brought up in the comics: COBRA would outnumber the Joes. The appearance of the Greenshirts are based upon the G.I. Joe team member Grunt, the Joe Team's infantry squad leader. The name "Greenshirts" came to use within canon with the release of new G.I. Joe comics from Devil's Due Productions. In this continuity, the Greenshirts were soldiers used as support troops for the main G.I. Joe team. The Greenshirts were broken into three different types, infantry, navy and air force. Some of them have been given personalities and play slightly bigger roles, even gaining Joe code-names and more prominent roles. Hasbro for many years avoided producing a Greenshirt figure, as several members of the designing and writing teams didn't want to have "nameless" G.I. Joe figures for various reasons. This was circumvented with the 2005 "Infantry Team" figure six-pack, which featured six figures designed to look like the cartoon's Greenshirts. Each figure was given a separate filecard with a blank file name and codename for the buyer to fill in their own details, in essence making them "named" characters.
