Description: *** PLEASE READ. *** Private owner, NO additional dealer fees. Accident-free, original paint and still looks NEW (ALWAYS garaged); only 'dull' spot is on lower front bumper passenger side (it was that way when I purchased the vehicle 13+ years ago). The top was new when I purchased it; I only had the top up twice in all those years, so when I use the top, it looks a bit 'wrinkled' until the warm weather 'smooths out' the 'wrinkles', and then, looks like new again. The car runs VERY STRONG; the previous owner, an older gentleman, had added a Hypertech chip, air foil, and high performance exhaust system. Clutch and transmission are like new. Battery, tires, water pump recently replaced. As far as I am aware, NO mechanical, electrical, exhaust, brake, or any other issues. The only 'minor fixes' that I am aware of:* Right rear tail light bulb needs replacing, * Front turn signal bulb needs replacing, * Flip-up headlamps work, but driver's side tends to "wink" while up (most likely original, worn, nylon bushings should be replaced with aftermarket brass bushings; I use the fog lights if driving at night), * A/C works well, although I would add refrigerant each Spring (small leak somewhere). As indicated above, the top 'flattens' out and looks new when the outdoor temperature is above 60 degrees (when I took the photo you see in this ad, it was only 33 degrees outside). It's my understanding that ALL owners (including myself), have used factory-recommended Mobil-1 synthetic motor oil since new, and was changed religiously every 3,000 miles, as was the filter. I honestly don't want to sell, but I need a left hip replacement. I have a very difficult time walking at this time. I'm only 62, but getting my leg over the sill is a real 'pain', literally. Open to a fair, and very reasonable offer of $12,200, but, I'm NOT "giving it away" for someone to "flip" and make a nice tidy profit. This car, as optioned from the factory, is tough to find for sale. Automatics typically need a rebuild after 100k (if not sooner), and to find an ALL BLACK, accident-free, C4, 6-speed convertible, that was NOT abused, for under $15k is nearly impossible... I know, because I have been looking for the past 4+ years just for "curiosity's sake". You can fly into Chicago (O'Hare (ORD), or Midway (MDW)), and drive home if you're out of state; Uber 35 miles from Midway, or 49 miles from O'Hare (less than a one-hour drive from either airport) to my home in Hammond, Indiana 46323. The car has NEVER let me down, and I would not hesitate to drive the car on a 2,000 mile road trip. The original driver's and passenger's leather seats, all seat bolsters, and factory-leather steering wheel wrap are all in VERY nice shape... a bit more wear on the driver's side (naturally), but the leather is NOT 'worn-through', not even on on the driver's seat or bolsters. No damage or cracks in the dash. Frame is ROCK SOLID. All gauges work as they should, and the car runs, drives, and handles nicely, even at speeds exceeding 100mph! Just drive and enjoy. The only immediate 'minor' "to do's" are the bulb replacements as far as being 100% street legal.
