Description: This is an uncut sheet of 6 Skybox Ultraverse trading cards from the 1993 set. This sheet is individually numbered out of 7,500 and was exclusively available at the 1993 National Sports Collectors Convention (NSCC) in Chicago. The sheet is in at least excellent condition--the only damage I see is on the right bottom corner as seen on the last photo (and even that is minor). These sheets were literally distributed in a large Skybox mailing envelope and are impossible to find in mint condition. Please let the photographs be your guide. In case you are not aware of Ultraverse, of the multitude of comic book universes that cropped up during the 1990s boom, the Ultraverse line from Malibu was perhaps the most worthy of sticking around. Its cast of characters was diverse, fairly well-planned and offered interesting storylines. But because Malibu got into the superhero business at the tail end of the boom, the Ultraverse didn’t have long before the Big Bang became the Big Bust (and Marvel purchased Malibu and neutered their IP) With that said, this brief window of comic goodness didn’t stop the company from — in conjunction with SkyBox — putting out three, count ’em three, editions of trading cards, though.
