Description: Original DTS cinema tracks for the 1997 monster horror film “Hard Rain” starring Tom Sizemore, Penelope Ann Miller & Linda Hunt. ***Will not play on a standard dvd or cd player*** DTS Cinema discs can be read by a DTS processor (like the ones used in theaters or other available DTS decryption and or extension transfer software found online). TWO DISCS CONTAINING: - DTS Standalone Trailer SN 1045 - THX Grand Trailer SN 1004 - Broadway Trailer SN 00015 - 6 Track A & 6 Track B - SERIAL NUMBER: 1371 RARE METER: 10/10 - Very Rare! Few of these exist to begin with, finding the same film offered twice, next to impossible. LANGUAGE: English DISCS: 2 MEASURES: 14.5” diameter CONDITION: External wear to the yellow container. Discs are in immaculate condition. Overall: VERY GOOD. WHAT IS DTS? DTS stands for Digital Theater Systems. The DTS discs would be shipped in the canister with the film reels to theaters that had DTS capabilities. The discs would match the code found on the 35mm film to then match the correct sound on the disc. If the 35mm film print has some damaged film spliced out the code would still match up. The disc would know to skip the sound to match the image. When the technology was initially launched cinemas needed to add a new processor into the sound racks and then a new DTS film roller attachment that was added to all 35mm projectors.
