Description: 1999 LeapFrog Fun & Learn Phonics Desk Learning System Frog Pond Fair RARE/READ* TESTED/WORKS! Includes 1999 LeapFrog Fun & Learn Phonics Desk, complete alphabet set, 20 Primer Lesson Cards (which have been used, and there is marker writing on the description card - see pictures), and Lesson 1 - 5 Cards and associated letter pairs/silent E (cards are all still new and shrink-wrapped, although Lesson 5 shrink-wrap is torn). Also includes instructions. The magnetic piece on the back of some of the letters (A, E, G, H, I, J, L, O, Q, T, U, V) is disintegrating. This does not have any effect on the performance of the letters or the desk. (Apparently the only function of the magnetism is to hold the letters to the desk so that they do not fall out of their letter slots if the desk is turned upside down.) SEE PICTURE, the back of the letter "Z" is shown for reference to show what the magnetic piece should look like, versus the other letters in the picture. Desk opens to reveal storage space for cards and letters. This was a very well-loved educational toy and does have some scuffs and scratches from frequent use. There is some discoloration/yellowing due to age. Requires 4 AA batteries, which are not included. Battery compartment had some corrosion on one of the battery terminals, a little of which still remains, but does not affect performance of the system. See pictures and video. Non-smoking home.
