Description: 1999 Trump Marina Hotel Casino lidded stein. This 7 1/2" lidded stein was made in Germany. The Casino and Marina are featured in raised relief around the stein. It was built as a Hilton, but that company was denied a gambling license by the State of New Jersey due to alleged ties to organized crime when the building was nearly complete and they had to sell the complex to Donald Trump. It opened in 1985 as " Trump's Castle ". In 1988, the casino became one of the settings (besides the Showboat) for the game show version of Yahtzee. In 1990, the Trump Castle became the setting for the Game Show, " Trump Card ". The resort was renamed " Trump Marina " in 1997. Landry's Restaurants purchased the casino from Trump Entertainment Resorts in February 2011, and the sale was approved in May. Landry's took control of the property on May 23, 2011. Landry's has started renovating every room in the hotel tower. Landry's Restaurants will be operating as The Golden Nugget Casino. Donald Trump's facsimile signature is on the bottom. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or crazing. Auctions, where possible, can be combined to save on shipping.
