Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a gorgeous large 19th Century begonia leaf tray or platter. The tray features a large green begonia leaf in the center with pink, brown and white coloration surrounded with a white basket weave pattern and a golden rope shaped border. The tray has ice texture and depth in the design. The exterior of the tray is decorated with a brown and white mottled color under the glaze. This nice tray is pictured on page 62 of the book "Majolica Pottery, Second Series" by Mariann Katz-Marks. Measures 1 3/4" high, 13 3/4" long and 10 3/4" wide. Weighs 2.7 pounds. This lovely tray is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some faint rubbing on the outside edge and some glaze skips on the back with one very small no-harm nick on the backside border.
