Description: Led Zeppelin III Red/Plum label 1st PRESS A5/B5 pressing. Released on the 5th of October 1970, this Lp was to define the 70's hard rock scene... & what an album!! Entering the UK charts at the No. 1 position. Most of the songs on this album were composed in Bron-Yr-Aur, an 18th-century cottage in Gwynedd, Wales during the mid 70's, after a hectic North American tour. Catalogue Number: 2401-002 ORIGINAL PLUM & ORANGE label Matrix Numbers: Side 1: A5 DO WHAT THOU WILT-etched Side 2: B5 SO MOTE IT BE-etched The Vinyl: QUALITY 142g VG. There are just light marks to the vinyl, which very occasionally provide some light background noise...Nothing at all to ruin my enjoyment of a fantastic album-just the odd light and soft revolutionary pop, but only in the background. I gave her a gentle vacuum clean, followed by an ultrasonic bath I then had the utter pleasure of listening to her all the way through-LOUD-!! I wasn't dissapointed....Even quiet in the run-ins and inbetween tracks too. I did notice a revolutionary pop on track 1, side 2...Which lead to a couple of tiny skips-perhaps a slightly heavier stylu than mine will play over this..?..This is why she gets a VG grading rather than VG+ (as the audio playback throughout is really rich, deep and clear). KEEPS THE DEEP, RICH SOUND REPRODUCTION SOLID QUALITY VINYL WITH CLEAR PEAKS AND BASSY TROUGHS FLAT The Labels: VG. ORIGINAL Plum & Orange labels. They remain deep and rich in colour. Minimal hole wear and only light spindle marks, visible when angled towards the light and looking for them...As you can see-there is a name to each side; please see the detailed images for yourselves.
