1st Printing Highlights Of Manhattan!! 1927!! Illustrated! Very Nice Copy!!!

Description: Here is a truly beautiful copy of Highlights Of Manhattan by Will Irwin. This is a stated first printing as shown on the copyright page published by The Century Company in 1927. This title is illustrated by the lively line drawings in detail by E.H. Suydam. Yhe frontispiece is in color. This is a must for any native New Yorker or anyone interested in the greatest city in the world. I am biased having been born and bred in Brooklyn for the first twenty-five years of my life. This copy is in extremely nice condition considering that it is nearly one hundred years old and has stood the test of time. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. There is a previous owner’s name on the front free endpaper in period ink. The deckled edges have two stains that only minimally invade the edges of a few pages and not any text as shown. There is very light general wear at the spine ends and corners but absolutely nothing too concerning also as shown. There is a soiled spot at the top of the spine but the gold gilt lettering on the blue cloth spine is still bright and beautiful. The paper illustration of The Brooklyn Bridge is not torn or faded whatsoever and is firmly affixed to the front board. There is some discoloration to the edge of the rear board and occasional spots here and there but again this copy is extremely lovely.
