Description: This listing is for 2 Russian pomegranate trees in 1 quart pots. These plants will typically measure between at least 1 foot tall and have excellent root development for transplanting into a larger pot or directly into the ground. We have been able to grow these plants and harvest their fruits in zone 7b/8a with no protection during the Winter. If unprotected in a colder zone, they may die back to the ground and resprout in the Spring. We offer 2 different varieties of Russian pomegranate: Surh Anor and Salavatski. The fruit from Salavatski (sold out) are of excellent quality; they are similar in size and flavor to Wonderful pomegranates, though they are a bit tarter. The fruit from Surh Anor are sugary-sweet, less acidic, and white on the inside, which means no juice stains! 'Surh Anor' has been highly rated in taste tests.
