Description: For sale here are 2 Horseshoe Crab Molts and 2 sharks teeth. For the kid that has everything -- they certainly don't have one of these!!!!!! Teachers --- great for science class! Please note this is the actual skin of a horseshoe crab. They are very light and fragile and are found among seaweed that has washed up along the shore. No horseshoe crabs were hurt in order to get these. The horseshoe crabs come from the shore in Massachusetts and the sharks teeth come from the West coast of Florida. Please note that this horseshoe crab molt is actually very fragile and dry. The molt is the result of a horseshoe crab exiting their shells through a slit in the front. This is how they grow. They actually molt around 16 times in their lifetime. Therefore, this molt looks exactly like an actual horseshoe crab. These measure around 6-10 inches long. You can see the claws on their feet, their lungs, and even their eyes. They would be great for a school classroom, or for a nautical look. They could be sprayed with clear polyurethane to make them a bit stronger. Ask questions if you have any. Thanks for looking! NOTE: If interested in buying another set or more, postage may be adjusted, as a bigger box will be used in order to keep them secure and in tack.
