Description: Up for sale here is this set of 2 brand new Nippon Chemi-Con 18000 uf 100v capacitors. These are drop-in replacements for the 13500 uf 75v main filter capacitors in the Crown DC300, DC300A, DC300II, and more. The terminals will fit perfectly through the chassis, with no need for drilling or other modifications. These are the same capacitors I use when I am rebuilding vintage gear. These measure 63.5mm (2.5") in diameter and 80.6mm (3.175") tall, and use screw terminals. The screws are included, but you may need to reuse the old screws depending on how thick your chassis is. The original Crown capacitors were 13500 uf 75v, and yes, these are 18000 uf 100v. They will still work fine in those amplifiers. Yes, it's a bit of a step up for capacitance, but they will still work fine and will not cause issues. It's always a good idea to upgrade the original power supply diodes/bridge rectifier, but it's not generally necessary. These are authentic Made in USA capacitors. The current batch of capacitors I am selling has 30C32L codes on them, and the boxes are dated 2340, so these were made the 40th week of 2023. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones.
