Description: 2 Patriotic New Year Antique Postcards TWINS (Gold & Silver). For Collectors. This is a nice SET of 2 NEW YEARS POSTCARDS showing ships in the ocean with New Year greetings. These postcards are TWINS, with them having the same design and with one having GOLD and the other SILVER lettering and trim. They are from the same publisher. These postcards are ANTIQUE and were published in the early 1900s. They are PATRIOTIC and show a military ship with the USA flag, communicating with a passenger liner with the message, "A Happy New Year". There are also two white doves in the front, one carrying the word "Peace" and the other "God Speed" with red and white ribbons. This is a night scene with white looking snow on top of the postcards. The postcards are colorful and attractive with nice details. Overall, a nice selection of antique New Years Patriotic postcards! These are collector items because of their age, and their appeal to New Years and Patriotic postcard collectors. These are UNIQUE and RARE postcards. One of the postcards is UNPOSTED and one is POSTED with a cancel date of 1913. The postcards are EMBOSSED and have divided backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age.
