The sight glass can hold several pack copper mesh rolls which can play as catalytic coppers for distillation, or you can take them out and use the sight glass as Gin basket to hold botanicals. There's a 2" mesh screen sealed by Stainless Mesh Screen PTFE (Teflon) so that it can hold either the copper mesh strips rolls or botanicals. Meanwhile, with the extension height, the distillation will be improved. Further more, it will make you easier to add more 2" pipe/fittings on top of sight glass if you want.
