2 Trios Teacup & Saucer & Plate MARIA THERESIA by Edelstein of Germany c1929-72

Description: This is for two beautiful trio sets of porcelain teacups, saucers, and dessert plates decorated with blue flowers and pink roses made by Edelstein of Germany. Very pretty and fancy empire design of the porcelain named Maria Theresia. There are gold highlights on the edges and on the handle and the rose and flowers are decorating both the inside and outside of the cup. The backstamp in green under the glaze is called the Edelstein Bavaria mark and was used from 1929-1972. On top of the glaze, in gold are the words “made in Germany”. These would be beautiful to display and use for special times with friends, or just to treat yourself. The plate is a perfect size for a treat to go with your tea or coffee. The cups are wide mouthed, 3 & 3/4 inches in diameter, hold 2/3 cup to the top, so more like 1/2 cup comfortably, and are 2 & 3/8 inches tall. The saucers are 6 inches in diameter and the dessert plates are 6 & 1/2 inches in diameter. The trios are in excellent vintage condition. I see no cracks, chips, stains or crazing, with close examination with a strong flashlight. There is minimal wear to the floral decoration and gold trim.
