Perhaps Pique with little nubs sticking out in a line. Please see closeup. This is not barkcloth but is from the barkcloth era.The fabric is not lightweight. It is a sturdy but flexible fabric. Feels like probably made of cotton, probably in the traditions of Provence.These bedspreads are in excellent condition. No rips, no stains.They have a large ruffle on 3 sides. The center rectangle measures 35 x 81 inches. The ruffle is LARGE-- 21 inches. So the approximate total size including the ruffle is 77 x 102 inches.These bedspreads are not lined or quilted.
