Description: These two little horse drawn coaches are a style called "Hollywood Regency", and look like Cinderella could be stepping out! They were made in Japan, and date to the 1950's. The have no damage - no chips, cracks or crazing. The paint is rather slapdash, as is typical with these small pieces. They are 2.5" long, 2" tall and 1" wide. They are a perfect size to go with the small Christmas Putz village houses. Christmas Putz, if you don't know, refers to the little village scenes people display under their trees each year at Christmas. They can be made from all eras of items, just ones that your family have gathered over the years. The original word "Putz" is German for plaster. The original antique Putz pieces were made from composition, a combination of glue, sawdust, plaster and whatever else was handy (sometimes clay). Size and date don't really matter for these little villages. They are meant to entertain while waiting for Santa.
