Description: Up for auction: An extremely rare Cut Bag 31 -7-1-6 from the 2001 Anime Film Metropolis with multiple douga/genga Directed by Rin Taro with Story by Osama Tezuka and Katsuhiro Otomo. The cut bag contains a (and pardon me if I don't get the exact terminology correct) 1 animation timing sheet, 6 foreground/layout sheets (including 2 with CG Grahics and 2 with Character Positioning), and multiple douga. There are 4 characters animated (Duke Red, Dr. Ponkotsu and 2 scientist) each labeled A through D with the 2 Douga from each sequence for each being present (see pictures). The front of the cut bag shows the scene and I have taken a picture of it (see picture 2 & 3) from the film. The front of the cut bag has a huge amount of scene specific detail (that I sure any Japanese reading aficionado would find interesting). I have owned this set for quite some time unfortunately I have to downsize and no longer have room for it. I am selling it whole because I wish it to remain intact as it is a pretty neat piece of anime history. The materials are in great shape considering their age. I collected a lot of comic and anime memorabilia back in the day as they were put out (especially the Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, and The Tick stuff). Some I displayed but most I put away in storage containers with the intention of displaying in the future.
