2005 CARTIER DANDY GOLD PLATE & BLACK LACQUER LE 792/1847 FOUNTAIN PEN MINT

Description: For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 2005 Limited Edition Louis Cartier Gold Plated and Black Lacquer Fountain Pen which has never been inked and is considered in Mint, New Old Stock Condition. This particular pen is number 792 out of 1847 and the model number is ST170113. This pen design is known as the "DANDY". This Cartier fountain pen comes with the original boxes and all Cartier literature/service booklets. This Cartier displays a very sophisticated and elegant look with a jet black barrel and cap with abstract gold foiling accents. The entire fountain pen is lacquered and polished to create a mirror-like finish! It is just gorgeous and has a "rich" feel in the hand The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is a "screw-on type and is always securing tightly to the barrel. These Cartier fountain pens were made as a Limited Edition and this one is stamped with, "0792 of 1847". The cap banding is marked in cursive, "LOUIS CARTIER" and the lower ring, when capped, is stamped with, "0792/1847 MADE IN FRANCE PLAQUE OR G". The end of the barrel has a dark blue cabochon stone. The fountain pen measures 5 1/8" capped and 6 3/4" posted. This Cartier fountain pen uses an ink converter filling system or will accept cartridges. I have tested the ink converter with water and works as it was designed to. This pen has a two-tone Rhodium plated 18K/750 nib that is designated a "Medium" point. The nib's iridium point measures .85mm using digital calipers, or a Medium nib point. This fountain pen has never seen ink and wanted to keep it that way for the next curator of the pen. This Limited Edition Cartier Dandy Fountain Pen is an exemplary example of some of the finest writing instruments ever made in modern times from Cartier. Cartier combined a modern writing instrument with a luxurious design. I consider this fountain pen to be in Never Inked, Mint, New Old Stock Condition.
