Hard to believe nearly a decade has passed since David Shaw’s #7-ranked Stanford Cardinal juggernaut blew past host #11 ASU 38-14 in the conference championship game at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ. Stanford would go on to come up just short against the BIG TEN champion Michigan State Spartans in the 2014 Rose Bowl, when it was inexplicably decided to run a slow-developing hand-off seven yards deep from a no-WR set against the #1-ranked rush defense that was stacking the box with 11 men.
