Dramatic Rendition of the God of War Obverse: The likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II located on the obverse was created in 1998 by British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. The Temple of Mars Ultor (Mars the Avenger) is depicted below, a structure commissioned by Augustus, the first emperor of the Roman Empire.
