A reinvention of Fender Japan's Jazzmaster platform, the new Traditional II 60s model features redesigned vintage-style pickups, as well as USA-spec CTS pots, vintage-style hardware, and a modern 9 1/2" radius on the rosewood fingerboard. The instrument has plenty of sparkle and percussive cut on tap, with a range of powerful and defined tones from the two "Vintage Style" single coil pickups. Engaging the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn yields warmer, wooly sounds. Lightweight at 7lbs 8oz with a basswood body, the guitar balances well on a strap and has been setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
