They are C clamp style that have rubber coating for less chance of damaging your skis or snowboard. I do HAVE 2 keys. They do clamp shut with no issues. Not sure how they attach, looks like maybe the bolt heads slide into a groove in YOUR roof rack. You will have to do your own homework to see if they fit your vehicle. There are some small white spots on the clamps. MAYBE you can get them out? These have been used before. "AS IS" no returns.
