These are not normal barnyard chickens. My COPPER MARANS lay the darkest eggs I've ever seen. My local bakery calls every week wanting these beautiful chocolate colored cackle berries. Please Note: I do NOT store hatching eggs. ALL eggs are usually shipped within 24 hours of being laid. If your can't wait a week or so, please find another seller. Please Know We Ship AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. **I have pep talks with the girls daily trying to motivate them** Egg's color fluctuates over the laying season and I do my best to send you the darkest eggs that are available at the time. If some eggs are not as dark as the picture they will still pass on the genetics for dark eggs. This pictures were taken after we selected the best looking and darkest eggs from my hens .
