This listing is just for the kit, pictures of the fully assembled detector and Ludlum survey meter are not included in this listing, they are shown only to demonstrate what the end product should look and operate like (fully assembled and tested detectors are available in my other listings). Installing the Voltage Divider on the PMT requires some soldering. I have already removed the old PC board, so no desoldering is necessary. Besides some hand tools, a heat gun will be needed to install the housing material. Additional materials you will need are a roll of electrician's tape, PTFE (plumbers) tape or white spray paint, and some spray adhesive and glue. Total construction can usually be completed in just a few hours or less. The XP5312 is a 3 inch (76mm) diameter, Head-on type, Bialkali photocathode. These PMT and BC412 scintillator combinations are great for Gamma Scintillation Counting. They are driven easily by voltages starting around 800 volts, with normal operating voltage from about 850 to 1000 volts (Maximum recommended 1200 volts).
