Description: Today I am offering this fabulous set of 3 very hard to find vintage plates from Lourioux, made in France. They are considered canape or appetizer/cheese plates. They could also work as dessert plates, or side plates. They measure approximately 5" across. They feature a colorful and cheerful design of a different woodland forest mushroom image on each plate. They are round, glossy-white, fine porcelain plates. They have scalloped edges and an impressed basket weave or lattice pattern around the border. My understanding is that these plates were manufactured sometime after the old Lourioux factory was bought in 1968 by Philippe Deshoulires. They are authentically vintage pieces. I personally would hand wash these to retain the glossy finish and delightful images. The backstamp on the plates reads as follows: Porcelaine L (large green L logo) Lourioux Creation Ph Deshoulires France F (circled) They are in overall excellent vintage pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, fading, or dullness. The images are fully intact with no loss of color. They are clean and ready to use. Add these to enhance your set, or start a collection with these beautiful pieces. Please review all the pictures and zoom in for close-ups as they are an integral part of the description. I have included a screenshot from Replacements-dot-com for a price comparison. However, all of them are out of stock. USPS shipping rates are for the lower 48 US states only. Alaska, Hawaii, etc must request a shipping quote prior to purchase. eBay determines international shipping costs. Here's some additional information about this product: Louis Lourioux was a potter born in France in 1894. He was a contemporary of such great artists as Lalique and Gall. In 1924 he took over running of a Buchon and Legros Porcelain Factory, which was established in 1840 in Foecy. He died in 1930 at the age of 35 in a car accident. The factory was then run by his wife until 1949. After that the old Lourioux factory was bought in 1968 by Philippe Deshoulires. It was eventually converted to a museum.
