Description: Thirty-One (31)wonderful tiles were salvaged from a 1890's Victorian fireplace surround in Mobile, Alabama (pictured above). I took the photos in groupings because I felt you could see the details better that way.Cream background with brown mottling. Some have a hint of pale blue spots throughout that makes the pattern even more beautiful and interesting.Triangular shaped and measure 2 inches by 2-7/8 inches.Overall they are in good condition. There are corner and edge chips. They still have a small amount of mortar on the backs, but not enough to cause problems laying them in thin set. Due to their age, they show that beautiful crazing that we love to see in well loved ceramics of the past. Please look at the pictures carefully.
